We often see deer grazing in the tall grass as we look out our living room window.

American Bittern

Found this little gem in the grass/bushes behind our little home away from home in Muskoka. I literally only had seconds to snap this photo before he disappeared into the thicker brush, so I wish it had of come out clearer…but I will take it. Makes me hopeful for what other wildlife we will see during our time at the lake.

Inglis Falls, Harrison Park & Owen Sound Harbourfront

If you ever get the chance to head up towards Owen Sound, do it! I had never been there before but you can bet I will be heading back again. Inglis Falls is just outside of Owen Sound and is breathtaking. I would love to go back again and explore Harrison Park…I was only able to see such a small part of this amazing park. Ontario really does have so much to offer…get out and explore…you won’t be disappointed!

Winter in Waterloo Region…

I can’t believe it is the middle of February and winter has finally arrived. I can’t believe the season we are having…last week, spring-like weather with record breaking warm temperatures…then this morning it was -28C with the windchill. It’s crazy! Good thing is…hopefully with winter coming this late…it will be very short.
